My grandfather ,who was a fisherman on the North Sea, was an amateur musician.He played many instruments including fiddle, harmonica,accordion, various homemade percussion instruments. He also knew literally thousands of songs. I learned to sing and play lots of different folk styles from him as a child.The other side of my family
is from India. I've been handed down an aptitude for both music and poetry from a long line of Indian ancestors.

Bluegrass and some western and country music have their roots in folk music from the British Isles. If you listen carefully you can here the similarites between Celtic and Bluegrass music.
